The NID Entrance Exam, also known as NID DAT (National Institute of Design Design Aptitude Test), is the entrance exam for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate design programs offered by the National Institute of Design (NID). NID is one of the premier design institutes in India, and securing admission here is a dream for many aspiring design professionals.

Exam Structure

The NID DAT is a two-stage exam process:

DAT Prelims:

  • This is a written test conducted offline. It assesses the candidate's creativity, observation skills, design aptitude, and general knowledge.

DAT Mains:

  • Only shortlisted candidates from the Prelims are eligible for the Mains exam. This stage consists of a studio test and a personal interview.
