1. What is the NIFT Exam?

The NIFT Exam is an entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fashion design, technology, and management.

 

2. What are the eligibility and percentage required for the preparation of designing and Architecture colleges ?

Student who have appeared or appearing higher secondary exam 10+2 or equivalent exam like Isc, I.com +2, CBSE, ICSE board are eligible for design any Design colleges like NIFT NID and for B.Arch & NATA, Math is compulsory subject.

 

3. How should I prepare for the NIFT entrance exam?

4. What is the duration of the NID course/programs?

- B.Des.- 4 Year, M.Des.- 2 ½ Year, PhD – Full Time (3 Years) & Part Time (5 Years).

6. What kind of courses does NID offer?       
The National Institute of Design (NID) offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in design disciplines such as Industrial Design, Communication Design, Textile & Apparel Design, IT Integrated Design, and Interdisciplinary Design Studies. They also offer short-term programs, professional development programs, and continuing education programs.

7. What are the programs offered through UCEED?
UCEED is conducted for admission into Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) programs in various specializations such as Industrial Design, Communication Design, Animation Design, and Mobility & Vehicle Design, among others.

8. What is the duration of the UCEED exam?
• There will be ONE question paper of a total of THREE hours duration.
• The question paper will be in English only.
• The question paper will carry a total of 300 marks.
• The question paper will consist of two parts: Part-A and Part B. It is compulsory to attempt questions from both parts.
• Utmost care is taken to prepare an error-free question paper. However, if an error is detected in the question paper, the UCI Committee shall take an appropriate decision after the examination, which shall be final.

 

9. What are the participating institutes that accept UCEED scores?
UCEED scores are accepted by various participating institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIITDM Jabalpur, and many other renowned design institutes in India.

10. What is the duration of the CEED exam?

The CEED exam is 3 hours long and has two parts, Part A and Part B. Part A lasts one hour, and Part B lasts two hours. The exam assesses candidates in various areas such as visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation, and design sensitivity. It also evaluates the candidate's design, drawing, and writing skills.

 

11. Which course is the CEED exam for?

The CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design) is an entrance examination conducted for admission to postgraduate programs in design. It evaluates the aptitude and creativity of candidates seeking admission to Master of Design (M. Des.) and Ph.

 

12. Which universities and design schools accept CEED scores for admission into their MDes and PhD programs?

CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay. It is a qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design (MDes) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur, IIITDM Kancheepuram and PhD programmes at several IITs and design schools.

 

13. Who can apply for NATA exam?

There is NO lower age limit to apply for NATA.

  • Candidates may come from the following backgrounds:

  • 10+2 or equivalent passed/appearing with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination.

  • 10+3 years Diploma (any stream) passed/appearing recognized by Central/State Govts with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination;

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing, after 10 years of Schooling with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

 

14. What is the duration of NATA exam?

The NATA exam will be for a 3 hours duration. It will consist of 3 separate sections namely, Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Drawing.

 

15.  How to prepare for NATA 2023?

The basic NATA preparation that can aid you in clearing the entrance exam are mentioned below:-

  • Give equal preparation time to all the three sections namely, Aptitude, Mathematics, and Drawing. 

  • Collect data on the architectural creation of famous national and international architects. 

  • Try and solve as many NATA sample papers as you can but surely focus on the previous year’s NATA question paper.

  • Practice all topics without giving a break between the sections to ensure you have a constant rhythm. 

  • Focus on the Nata mock tests or sample questions to practice the hardest of questions.

16. What is the Duration and Course of Jee(B.Arch) exam?       

  • As per the new JEE Main Paper 2 Exam pattern, both B. Arch and B. Planning papers are conducted online except for the Drawing section in JEE Main B.Arch.

  • JEE Mains B.Arch paper will be conducted both Offline (Drawing Test) and Online (Mathematics and Aptitude). The time duration of the exam will be 3 Hours (180 Minutes).

Mathematics and aptitude sections consist of objective-type questions. The questions in the drawing test are designed to test your drawing and sketching skills
